Miscellaneous August photos

Here are some photos from our various other activities in August...

Finley encountered solid food...

...but didn't like that piece!

We took a 40 minute round trip on a tiny False Creek Ferry

We ate Pig On The Street wraps at the Trout Lake Farmers Market

We had a schnitzel feast at Old Bavaria Haus

We visited Bruce and Twyla during their camping trip at Point Roberts

Bruce and Finley

Ben and I had our first baby-free date in complete darkness
at Blind Table (this is us with our server, who is legally blind)...

...while Grandma and Grandpa hung out with Finley down the street!

We went on a harbour cruise

View of Canada Place from our paddlewheeler on the Burrard Inlet

Mum and Dad went to the Australian Consulate to vote

Finley enjoyed his first swing

We did ANOTHER harbour cruise
(our Groupons were expiring soon!)...

...this time with Rach and Carrie!

We had lots of cuddles too...

...And there were various other outings we didn't take photos of! It was a busy and fun month!

Did you enjoy your meal at Dark Table? I've read about their restaurants before, I would love to try it! Sounds amazing :)

Hi Chany! We did enjoy it - more for the experience than for the food (which was good but not amazing). It was a great idea for our first baby-free date, as we didn't fall into the stereotypical habit of discussing our baby the entire time... we were too busy narrating our actions, trying to figure out what we were eating, analysing the sounds, etc! :P We forgot to ask afterwards what the food was, so we're still in the dark about it, so to speak... ;)

Great pics, and about time you updated your blog! :P

Shame that in the darkness, you couldn't even check out your cute waiter!! ;) Looks like so much fun though for a date - I'd love to try that one day...

Btw, is it possible to be 'illegally blind'???

Aww, Finley is still getting even cuter! :-)

I love the idea of the Dark Table restaurant too - I have heard about them but never stumbled across one.
