Kayaking at Deep Cove

On Saturday, a group of 16 of us went paddling in double kayaks at Deep Cove in North Vancouver. Again we had wonderful weather (worth mentioning when it's Vancouver you're talking about!), and it was an ideal combination of exercise and relaxation! We kayaked for almost 2 hours - in the first photo below, our route was along the coast on the left side, to the smudge of an island you can see just left of the centre. Here's the view from where we started from...

Some photos of the group getting ready...

And getting into the colourful kayaks...

Out on the water...

A video...

Here's a Google Earth map showing our route, courtesy of Stuart's GPS watch - we paddled 7.88 kms...

Group photo afterwards...
Back L-R: Peter, Jo-lana, Justin, Megan, Ben, Ruth, Ken, Lanna, Nicole, Tyson, Stuart, Rosanne;
Front L-R: me, Shonna, Gerard, Janelle...

And lunch...

Are any of you tempted to come and visit us yet? :)
