Christmas at Canmore, Post 5: Christmas Day

Christmas Day in our Canmore condo was a cozy and relaxed affair.

The main event of the day was our Christmas dinner, which we ate at around 5pm. We had star anise braised chicken, roast pumpkin salad, sweet potato bake, cranberry salad, and roast potatoes... and for dessert, a deliciously decadent chocolate truffle cake. All made by us (particularly Megan) in the apartment!

On Boxing Day, we drove the 9 hours back to Vancouver. Here are Megan and Justin asleep in the backseat, surrounded by mountains of luggage and leftover food...



And the next day they flew back to NZ and on to Australia for the next stage of their adventures. We miss them!!
