Europe trip: 2 days to go!

Dear all,

Two days from now, we'll be sinking gratefully into bed in Belgium, after having been in three different countries since finishing work that afternoon...

The next couple of days will be very busy, with assignments to finish and post, the trip to pack for, a flat to clean, four more nights' accommodation to find, another interview at a supply teaching agency for Ben, and his last day at ICC!!

Can't wait to get to the snow and see those wonderful Christmas scenes!!!!

This is a dodgy Anna Maps version of our route:

And this is the more precise Google Maps version:

Not inluding the four markers furthest to left, which show our journey from home across to France via the Eurotunnel, the blue and green markers show where we are staying overnight.

Details of our overnight stays are as follows:

Fri 21st December - Bruges, Belgium
Sat 22nd, Sun 23rd - Brussels, Belgium
Mon 24th, Tues 25th (Christmas Day) - Delft, the Netherlands
Wed 26th - Wilhelmshaven, Germany
Thurs 27th, Fri 28th - Moelln, Germany
Sat 29th, Sun 30th (our 1st wedding anniversary) - Berlin, Germany
Mon 31st (New Year's Eve), Tues 1st January - Prague, Czech Republic
Wed 2nd - Munich, Germany
Thurs 3rd - Liechtenstein
Fri 4th, Sat 5th - the Black Forest, Germany
Sun 6th - Luxembourg
Mon 7th (my birthday) - near Calais, France
Tues 8th - back home

We have booked all of our accommodation except for the four nights in Berlin and Prague. It seems those places are rather popular around New Year, so perhaps we'll be sleeping in the car... what a unique first wedding anniversary! :)

If anyone has any contacts in the above locations, or advice on what to see or do, please get in touch with us via email or blog comments. Most of our days have not been planned yet, so we'd welcome some recommendations!

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year with your loved ones, and hopefully we'll be able to keep in touch regularly along the way!

Much love,
Anna and Ben.
