It's the little things you notice most about being in a different country...
- Piles of orange leaves everywhere
- Darkness descending at 4:30pm this time of year
- Sainsbury's, Tesco and ASDA instead of Coles, Woolies and BiLo
- Supermarket checkout operators sitting, not standing, behind the counter
- Having to pack your grocery shopping into bags yourself
- No one (not even Starbucks) having heard of iced coffee with ice cream and cream in it!! (Although this is actually on my big things list...)
- People calling them red, green or yellow peppers – not capsicum
- Pounds, pennies and miles
- People being very understanding when others are late, as they're all so used to getting stuck in traffic
- A car flashing its lights at you to say “I'm letting you cut in front of me”... It never means “cops back there!”
- Everyone doing at least 90 if the motorway speed limit is 70 mph
...and finally...
- Indicators? WHAT ARE THEY?!!!

Sad about the iced coffee - it would be on my "big things" list too. Better start training them in good aussie iced coffee!!!!
i guess some of these things would take some getting used to! although finally you have an excuse to be late everywhere! :P
Yes, I do feel this is one of the advantages of living in England. :D
