The credit must go to Sharon for coming up with the idea of an "Aussie Orphans' Christmas" and spending all day at our flat (while we were at work) cooking an absolutely stupendous meal - THANK YOU SHAZ!!!
- Six very good friends and lots of fun and laughter
- One flat decorated with tinsel, candles, chocolate, and a windowsill full of Christmas cards
- Christmas songs playing in the background
- Chef Sharon's amazing talents!!!!
- A traditional English Christmas dinner complete with mocktails, mulled wine, ham-wrapped prawns and salmon crackers for appetisers, roast chicken with prosciutto, gammon ham, stuffing balls, mini sausages, cranberry sauce, baby carrots and leeks, parsnip and apple, roast potatoes, brussel sprouts with panchetta, bread sauce, bread and butter pudding with brandy cream and double cream, Lindt chocolate, assorted lollies... I can't do this justice in words (Sharon will be cringeing); please refer to photos!
- The scent of candles and the above dishes wafting through the warm flat
- Enthusiastic consumption of mountains of the abovementioned food!
- Crackers to pull with gold paper hats, bad jokes and cute little gifts inside
- ...And one long and silly game of Mao (using Rook cards), with the added bonus of being able to pick on two people who have never played before!
