A visit from Graham and Katrina

The night of our return from Barbados was Graham and Katrina's one and only night in Vancouver, at the tail end of their 3-week US and Canada trip. Although we arrived home from Barbados too late on Saturday night (early Sunday morning, in fact) to have them stay with us, they stayed at a B&B in Burnaby and we were thrilled to be able to spend a few hours with them on Sunday.

We picked them up from the B&B, took them to our meeting, had a makeshift lunch at our flat, and then dropped them at the airport for their afternoon flight to Hawaii. It was really special to see them, hear all about their trip, and show them where we live!

For those of you who don't know who Graham and Katrina are, they are the parents of Danielle ("Delle") - our lovely friend from Brisbane who visited us in England (of the falling-down-stairs and slight-interest-in-Pride-and-Prejudice fame). And best of all...

She's currently somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, en route to Vancouver for a 4-week visit with us!!!

And that explains why I've been blogging up a storm lately - I wanted to get the Barbados blog entries done before the very full-on month we're about to have. Plans include overnight trips to Seattle and Vancouver Island, and a 10-day road trip in the USA!

Come back to read all about it in a few weeks...

Wow--finally caught up on your "travelogue"..Wonderful! I feel like I've now been to Barbados, well except for the scuba diving :o)..hmmm, like the quote about men using up their air faster..may need to remember that one! Thanks for the virtual vacation~ look forward to the next with friend Danielle. It was lovely to meet her and get a bit acquainted!
